Lorraine Varela
Lorraine Marie Varela is an author and screenwriter who loves to connect people with the heart of God. She began her writing career with her devotional, Powerful Moments in the Presence of God, featuring inspirational words alongside her photographs taken in fascinating places throughout the US and abroad. Her next book, Love in the Face of ISIS, was a prayer strategy guide to cover the situation in the Middle East. Lorraine wrote a screenplay by the same name, which was picked up by a production company and put into 
development. As a result, she and her husband Gabriel followed the leading of God and moved to Southern California to be ambassadors to the entertainment industry. They began a ministry called Inspiring Faith International, leading a prayer and ministry team on the film set of Unplanned, the true story of Abby Johnson (in theaters March 29, 2019). Lorraine wrote the companion book for Unplanned, a devotional called Planned from the Start, to help women and men affected by abortion begin their healing journeys and reconnect with God’s heart and purposes for their lives.
