Verna J. Pollock grew up in British Columbia, and was trained as nurse, and attended Bible college for a year before moving to Alaska. At Minfield Children’s Home near Juneau, she met her husband Ken, a maintenance man and relief supervisor. Later the couple returned to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where they raised their family, a daughter and three sons. Verna was employed by the Veteran’s Administration for twenty-six years, involved with Christian Women’s Connection as a speaker and local chairperson, and became a U. S. citizen when her oldest son entered the USAF.
I’ve been around Christian publishing since 1987 when I helped our ministry self-publish an important resource for Vietnam veterans and their families. That book went on to be picked up by a royalty publisher and has since sold over 250,000 copies with a million in print.
I’m glad you’re here…stop by often and take advantage of all the information we make available.
