The Christian walk is a process that begins at the new birth with an expected end of becoming like Jesus, but sadly, many have taken the beginning of the process as an end in itself. That is, many are assuming that the process is already completed just because they have experienced the new birth. This assumption is usually a product of misunderstanding God’s concept of declaring the end of a thing from the beginning. The fact that God declares the end of a thing from the beginning does not eliminate the process in between. The process that leads from the new birth to becoming like Jesus requires Walking in the Spirit.
Unfortunately, the ministry of the Holy Spirit has been largely misunderstood, ignored, or outright rejected in most cases. This is most pathetic, especially in the case of those in the Pentecostal circle to whom the ministry of the Holy Spirit is supposed to be foundational belief. Worst still are those who speak in tongues but have never learned how to yield to the ministry of the Holy Spirit. Failure to believe or accept the ministry of the Holy Spirit is the reason why there is so much manifestation of the flesh in the Christianity of today. This is the main reason why becoming like Jesus has remained a struggle for most Christians. This book is therefore intended to help the reader understand and appreciate the importance and seriousness, including the why and the how, of walking in the Spirit, and to enable him or her to begin to consciously and consistently walk in the Spirit to progressively advance toward becoming like Jesus, thereby maximizing the benefits of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
Some of the issues addressed are:
- Proper Foundation for Walking in the Spirit
- Why to Walk in the Spirit
- Evidence of Walking in the Spirit
