The Hope Prevails Bible Study will become my go-to resource when going head-to-head with depression.I was raised with the understanding that “all the women in our family are predisposed to melancholy,” and this book dispelled that myth. I am not destined to live with depression and you don’t have to either. Hope Prevails will gently guide you through suggestions and feasible actions you can do right now. It doesn’t come across as strict doctor’s orders, but more like encouragement from a loving friend. Take what you need from this book, each one of is unique and Hope Prevails for all!

This was a life-changing book for me. I never realized how much impact my thought life had on my self-worth and identity. By reading Dr. Bengtson’s book, I’m learning how to take my thoughts captive (and fight the enemy,) how much God loves me and what God says about me.
I’ve endured many traumatic experiences in my life, especially in the past 10 years. I’m learning to look for ways that God can bring good from my pain. The pain I’ve endured can serve a purpose by increasing my faith and drawing me closer to the Lord.I love that this book is scripture based. Because I love music so much, I especially love that each chapter has a music playlist.I’m thankful that depression does not have to become a permanent part of life. There is HOPE. Thank you for your hope-filled message, Dr. Bengtson.
